Devotional
Our minds can be powerful creators of false realities. We often construct elaborate scenarios of what might go wrong, building walls of worry brick by brick. These mental constructions can feel so real that they begin to govern our actions and reactions. Yet, like a house built on sand, these fears are based on false evidence – scenarios that exist only in our minds.
Bible Verse
“Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: ‘To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!'” – Revelation 1:4
Reflection Question
What false evidence are you currently accepting as truth in your life, and how might God’s truth help dismantle these false constructions?
Quote
“Fear has two components. For what does fear stand for? False evidence appearing real.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me distinguish between false evidence and Your truth. Give me wisdom to recognize when I’m building walls based on fear rather than faith. Guide me to Your truth that sets me free. Amen.
