Devotional
Think about holding something precious – perhaps a delicate flower or a cherished photograph. Now imagine the care and attention you give to protecting it. That’s just a glimpse of how Jesus holds onto us. His grip isn’t harsh or controlling; it’s loving and secure. The hands that hold us are the same hands that were pierced for our salvation. When doubts creep in or challenges arise, we can rest in the assurance that we are held by hands of perfect love.
Bible Verse
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. – Revelation 7:9
Reflection Question
When have you felt most secure in God’s love? How does knowing you’re held securely by Jesus affect how you face life’s challenges?
Quote
Unlike that chocolate, you cannot snatch us out of his hand. Jesus has such a tight grip on you because he loves you, because he gave his life for you and wants you to be with him forever.
Prayer
Loving Shepherd, thank You for holding me securely. Help me rest in Your grip when life feels uncertain. Remind me that Your love never lets go. Amen.
